Rollmex Sp. z o.o. is a specialist company that since 1989 operates on the construction market. The key basic staff of supervision, quality control, experienced foremen, welders and employees have extensive experience, carrying out renovation and investment works for the Gdańsk and Gdynia CHP plants as well as other domestic and foreign companies.

RANGE OF ACTIVITIES:

The company performs prefabrication of steel structures with their anti-corrosion protection, elements of pipelines, tanks made of carbon or stainless steel at its technical facilities at Hutnicza street in Gdynia and assembly of these elements on the facilities. As part of the services, we renovate boilers, boiler equipment, tanks, perform repairs and modernizations of industrial installations and equipment.

We also act as the General Contractor for mechanical, electrical and I&C works, construction including design works.,

Our company has been present on the market of crane equipment since 2009.

EXPERIENCE:

Rollmex delivered and assembled halls for the Finnish company LPM (70 tons), for Castorama (120 tons), for REAL, the link between the ferries and the Railway Station in Gdynia (150 tons), modernized the cooling system for turbine sets at the Gdańsk Heat and Power Plant, installation for unloading crude oil and diesel from ships to tanks together with the installation for filling tank trucks at the Baltic Mass Base, installation of transmission of food oils with stainless steel heaters in tanks for Westway Terminal Poland Ltd. together with the assembly. We delivered V = 500m³ heating oil tank for the Naval Shipyard in Gdynia, two V = 400m³ tanks each for heating oil at the Energobałtyk CHP Plant in Władysławowo, we refurbished two V = 5.000m³ tanks each for heavy oil at the Gdynia Heat and Power Plant and others. At the turn of 2010 and 2011 we completed the delivery of an incinerator, silos, tanks, exhaust ducts and service platforms with a total weight of approximately 300 tons for Degremont S.A. as part of the expansion of the sewage treatment plant Gdańsk East.

In the years 1998 to 2001, we performed an oxygen, acetylene, CO2 and noble gas installation for Linde Gas (Eurogaz Ltd.). In 2007, we completed the installation of the LPG bottling and unloading plant in the port of Gdynia for the company Petrolinvest S.A. In recent years, we have made three hydrogen stations for generator cooling in the Gdańsk Heat and Power Plant.

In addition, we made:

  • In 2004 140m connector with hydraulically controlled movable platforms between ferries and the building of the Railway Station in Gdynia Ferry Terminal
  • In 2004 turnkey with obtaining the building permit, designing and obtaining the occupancy permit for the Fuel Station for refueling heavy equipment and locomotives at the Gdynia Heat and Power Plant
  • In 2008 we built a complete biomass feeding installation at Gdynia Heat and Power Plant
  • In 2010 we delivered steel structures for bridges and flue gas ducts for Technip / KTI implementing the 10+ Program at Grupa Lotos S.A.
  • In the years 2009/2011 we implemented two projects entitled Adaptation of the Gdańsk and Gdynia CHP plants to the landfilling operation
  • In 2012 we delivered tanks for Pipe Con Danmar as well as silos and mobile concrete plants for Tecwill Oy Finland
  • In 2013 we completed the construction of a V = 1000m³ water tank at EDF Polska in the Gdańsk Heat and Power Plant
  • In 2014 we made and installed elements of a thermal waste treatment installation in Bydgoszcz, including six silos, waste chutes and tanks under the boiler grate for a consortium of Termomeccanica and Astaldi companies
  • In 2015 steel structures for the GCT terminal in Gdynia for the Budimex company - bridges for handling refrigerated containers, entrance gates, vehicle inspection points
  • In 2015 we completed the first stage of modernization of the OP70 No. 3 steam boiler at Michelin Polska CHP plant in Olsztyn
  • In the years 2016/2017 we completed installation works of the ash removal installation in the new 1000MWe power unit at Kozienice Power Plant
  • In the years 2017/2018 we made and installed elements of a waste incineration plant in Szczecin for Termomeccanica - including backfills and constructions of cable and pipeline trestles
  • In the years 2017/2018 we made and installed elements of a thermal waste treatment installation in Rzeszów, including 3 silos, waste chutes and tanks under the boiler grate, as well as hot and cold air channels to the boiler for the consortium of Termomeccanica and Astaldi companies
  • In 2019 we performed annual repairs of boilers and boiler installations for PGE Energia Ciepła at in Gdańsk and Gdynia Heat and Power Plants

In the crane equipment sector, we have carried out 14 projects mainly for KONECRANES, including:

  • In 2009 – Dong Energy Project 2 x Grab Unloader G1006 and G1007 cranes machinery room
  • In 2010 -2014 – Repairs of STS cranes Nos. G475, 624, 625 at the BCT Gdynia terminal
  • In 2013 – Goliath G1418 - Kvaerner Stord Norway - staircase to the upper trolley and crane assembly components
  • In 2014 – NYCT - New York City Terminal - 2 x trolley for RMG G1572 and G1573 barge cranes
  • In 2015 – BNSF Kansas City Terminal - 3 x trolley for RMG G1699 and G1701 cranes
  • In 2015 – OSLO PORT Authority project, 2 pcs. Machinery Room for STS G1613 and G1614 cranes
  • In 2016 – Test frame for DCT terminal cranes in Gdansk G1775 and Goliath Meyer Turku - machinery room, service crane, elements for crane assembly and assembly of upper and lower trolley with loading on the barge
  • In 2017 – Koper Terminal Slovenia - 2 x trolley for RMG G1851 and G1852 cranes
  • In 2018 – Virginia Port Authority - 4 trolley for RMG 2028-2031 cranes
  • In 2019 – Vuossari Helsinki Multilink - trolley, machinery room, head block hook block for G2118 crane
  • In 2019 – Klaipedos Sylte II - 2 x engine room and trolley for STS G2301 and G2302 cranes
  • In 2019 – Savananh project - assembly of equipment for RMG G2102, G2103, G2104 and G2105 cranes
  • In 2020 – Savananh project - fabrication and assembly of RMG G2106 and G2107 cranes
  • In addition, in the years 2008-2010 we made for KALMAR engine room housings 15 pcs of RMG cranes for the HHLA terminal in Hamburg

CAPABILITIES:

On the technical background at Hutnicza street in Gdynia, the company has a concreted yard with an area of approx. 4500m², two gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 tons and a production hall with an area of 1000m² with a 10–tons crane, workshop with metalworking machines, insulation workshop, warehouse and social facilities.

We have a CNC plasma and gas burner with a 2x6m table. We are owners of a rolling machine on which we can roll sheets up to 3000mm wide and 45mm thick. We equipped our workshop with a lathe with dimensions of turned elements up to diameter 760mm and length up to 2000mm.

The company has production capacity for the prefabrication of steel structures, tanks and pipeline elements in an amount of approximately 1200 tons per year.

PERMISSIONS:

The company has the Technical Inspection Authority (UDT) qualifications for the production of non-pressure and pressure tanks, for the execution and assembly and repair of pressure elements, including boilers, as well as for the repair and assembly of overhead cranes as well as pipelines subject to UDT, and we have qualifications for a number of works in the Transport Technical Inspection (TDT). We have a certificate of factory quality control according to EN1090-1 issued by UDT CERT. To meet customer requirements, meet their needs, while ensuring the right level of service in 2001, the company obtained the ISO 9001: 2000 certificate issued by Germanischer Lloyd.

We currently have the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate, implemented and used quality system in welding in accordance with PN-EN ISO 3834-2: 2007 and factory production control according to EN1090 confirmed by the UDT CERT certificate. In 2015, we implemented and certified an integrated management system in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 14001: 2015 and PN-N 18001: 2004 standards.
